AI 101 for Students

AI 101 for Students is a self-paced, one-hour online course for 5th–12th graders that demystifies how chatbots and image generators work, teaches students to craft clear prompts, and shows them to cite AI output correctly. Through hands-on activities and mini-quizzes, learners practice paraphrasing, spot misinformation, and explore ethical and copyright considerations for AI-created content. By the final challenge, every student gains the confidence and skills to use Generative AI creatively, responsibly, and with integrity.

In just four weeks, this blended program guides teachers, instructional coaches, school leaders, and other key roles through AI’s possibilities, ethical use, and critical-thinking integration, all while building Industry 4.0 competencies.
